    Family Matters

    Dear Parents and Guardians,
    Our class is working on a Social Studies unit about Relationships, Rules and
    Responsibilities. We want to know more about the people in our family, how they
    help us and how we can help them.
    Many of our activities will be about changes in our lives, families, school and
    community. We will be interviewing, researching and recording our learning in
    different ways. We will have a few homework assignments that will need your
    help with throughout the unit.
    We hope to learn a lot from this unit because we think Family Matters!

    Home Work Assignment #1

    Wednesday
    Our first job will be to build a family tree. Please help your child to fill
    out the leaves for their family tree. On each leaf write a family
    members name and relationship (ex. Grandma Sue/ Mothers mother).
    Please feel free to include parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles,
    and any others who live in the household with them.
    Please be sure to return leaves to school by Wednesday, Sept 18th.
