The Hunger

(chorus, reverb, delay, flanger)

Reverb your denial ~

Echoing in your head
This play is lofty
We’re better off
We’re better off
This play is lofty
Echoing in your head
Reverb your denial ~

Let the rain slip past the winter’s gate

To a never never-land far, far away
But he hesitates; because he’ll miss her if he goes
Into the nothing that made no sense anyhow
But it called him home with crimson warmth

The hunger drives without a map, purpose only to consume, no dead-ends acceptable ~ ~

Socrates cashed in his journal for a journey

In the maid’s chamber she awaits to wear him
He knows, that she knows, when he’s at risk
Because the wind grows restless and all can hear it
The sound of those horns in the distance, singed forests weep

Reverb your denial ~

Echoing in your head
This play is lofty
We’re better off
We’re better off
This play is lofty
Echoing in your head
Reverb your denial ~
