1. Summarize the key points you learned from this Professional Development experience. In this PDU, I learned what the S.C.O.P.E. is all about, what to expect, how to put this eportfolio together, what should go in this e-portfolio, what to expect during the interview/presentation, and was given examples of other candidates who have received distinguished on their portfolio. 2. Discuss how these key points connect to your content area. This S.C.O.P.E. process is a summary of everything I have done as a General Science Education major at WVSU. It displays my lessons that I have taught in several science classrooms throughout my time at WVSU, my grade point average in my content area, as well as my overall GPA, and professional developments that will enhance my skills as a General Science content teacher. 3. Share how you might use this new information in your future classroom: I wouldnt necessarily use the information I received in this PDU in my future classroom since this is based on my education and a requirement of WVSUs Education department. But I could use the information on how to form an e-portfolio and have my students create their own portfolio of their growth as science students in my class and present their growth over a year as their final presentation. I think it would be great practice for the students to do an e-portfolio.
