Teachers spend a day looking
through the lens of a student
to consider stress, workload,
homework, and bell schedule
from a students perspective.
1. Get approval for project
from Principal and
present idea at faculty
meeting; follow up with
email to solicit faculty
participation.
2. Gather information for
preferred day and grade
level from participating
faculty.
3. Notify students of plans
for the project; petition
for student volunteers to
help document the days.
4. Organize calendar of
faculty chosen days and
assign student crew to
teachers.
5. Meet with students and
faculty groups
individually to discuss
purpose, expectations,
logistics, and concerns.
6. Document through film
and video.
7. Debrief with participants
and synthesize info to
share with faculty.
8. Meet with students to
prepare documentary to
share with school
community.
9. Write various updates and
news articles for school
periodicals with parent
audience.

Book Awards
This program serves to
recognize deserving junior
students for academic
achievement, leadership, and
other scholarly pursuits,
depending on the award
criteria for each award. This
year I coordinated book
awards with 15 participating
institutions.
1. Make contact with various
universities and request
participation in their book
award program.
2. Attend meetings with
faculty members and
administrators to discuss
nominees.
3. Share nominations with
entire faculty and solicit
feedback.
4. Complete and submit
nomination forms for each
institution.
5. Collect and organize
awards to present at the
Academic Awards Ceremony.
