NasirBaghdadisclaimtofameishisliterarymagazineBadbaan,whichwasknowntothe
readersforitsboldstanceonmanyissuesconcerningUrduliterature.Intheeditorialsof
Badbaan,hewouldtaketotaskthesocalledbigwigsofliteraturewithhissharpanalytical
style.Hedidnotbelongtoanyofthemaingroupsthatwerespewingdirtoneachotheras
hiscommitmentwaswithliteraturealone.
Onemightnotagreewithsomeoftheeditorialsofthemagazinebutonethingwassure:he
didntbelieveincreatingmeresensationalism.Sadly,forquitesometime,wehaventseena

magazine.
AfterobtainingadoctorateineconomicsfromCanada,NasirBaghdaditaughtatvarious
universitiesinthecountryaswellasabroad.Literatureishispassionandthatwasthereason
forlaunchingaliterarymagazine.Apartfrombeinganeditor,heisalsoashortstorywriter
andhisstorieshaveappearedindifferentmagazinesofPakistanandIndia.
