Learning Objectives I: Review and understand 3 modules of a parent-training curriculum.

Learning Activities
1. Read an article about the SafeCare parent training curriculum and write a summary.

WEEK 1

2. Observe the home visitor when assessing the three modules and assist in recording case
notes, while keeping documentation of each assigned family.
WEEK 2-3
3. Become familiar with Tarrant County Resources.

WEEK 4

4. Review what you learned about the SafeCare curriculum and discuss with mentor.

WEEK 5

Learning Objectives II: Apply knowledge about a parent-training curriculum.

Learning Activities
1. Attend a parent education workshop and write a summary about what you learned.

WEEK 6

2. Assist and inform parents about Tarrant County Resources.

WEEK 7

3. Demonstrate what you learned using a checklist to assess the three modules.

WEEK 8

Learning Objectives III: Develop and implement a parent-child activity.

Learning Activities
1. Read an article about parent-child interactions and positive behaviors.

2. Plan 3 parent-child activities and share with mentor.
