Hazard

Risk Assessment

Overcoming the
Hazard

Low Ceiling

The ceiling was very low in

the cupboard which was
where one of our scenes was
set and it was easy to bang
your head.

We made all made sure that

we took extra care when
going in and out of the
cupboard.

Candles

In one of our scenes we used

candles around linen
material which couldve
easily caused a fire if a
candle was knocked over.

We had someone on stand

outside the cupboard with a
fire blanket just in case there
was an accident.

Balcony

One of our scenes involves a

balcony on the second floor
of a house which could lead
to serious injury if Bryony
was to slip or fall off the
balcony.
Bryonys dog, Millie, was in
the house when we filmed
some scenes so we had to
ensure that she wasnt in the
way as we couldve fell over
her or she couldve walked
into a candle, burning
herself.
When being around flames
we had to safeguard the fact
that the girls have long hair
and if they wore long sleeves
it couldve lead to a serious
injury.

We made sure Bryony wore

extra grippy shoes and that
the floor surface was dry to
minimise any possibility of
Bryony slipping.

Lack of Space

In one of our scenes we see

Jack walking down a road,
which he easily couldve
been taken down by a car
when crossing the road,
along with Billie who was
filming.
The cupboard scene involved
a very confined space and
the door was shut. If
something was to fall or
someone was to get hurt in
the cupboard, it would be
difficult for them to get out.

We had one person watching

the dog at all times, making
sure Millie never came near
the scene.

Billie (who filmed it) had her

hair tied up and sleeves
rolled up just to make sure.
Bryonys character had her
hair down so she just had to
be extra careful and mind
what she did.
We tried to film at times
when the road wasnt busy
and also had Bryony double
checking the roads before
Jack and Billie crossed.

We had Jack outside just in

case there was an
emergency and the door
needed opening. He also
pushed the shoes into one
corner to lessen the chance
of someone falling over the

Inhalation of Dust

Outside the cupboard was a

massive pile of shoes which
people easily couldve
tripped over.

shoes.

The cupboard which we

filmed in was fairly dirty and
dusty which caused a hazard
to Jack as he is asthmatic.

Jack had to stay a certain

distance away when the
cupboard was being cleaned
out and also have his
asthma pump on him just in
case he inhaled dust and
struggled to breathe.
