DA stands for Direct Admission; ET stands for Entrance Test conducted by University : Admission to all the
DA courses is made on the basis of candidates merit in the qualifying examination (i.e,. 10+2, Graduation
or Masters Degree) according to the qualification prescribed for the concermed course.
2.
Admission to the courses grouped under ET is based on the merit obtained by the candidate in the
entrance test conducted by the University.
4.
Detailed information regarding the admission procedure for DA/ET courses, as also, regarding the
entrance test paper etc. is incorporated in Information & guideline available on University website.
5.
University reserves the right not to start any courses, if adequate number of students are not available.
7.
Admission to MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (FM), MCA, MBA (Tourism), BHMCT, B.Tech, Biotechnology Engg.,
Biomedical Engg., Computer Science Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Food Tech Engg.,
Instrumentation Engg, Mechanical Engg, B. Arch. and B.Pharma courses is done through State Level
Entrance Test conducted by UP Technical University, Lucknow.

Academic Session 2014-2015
Academic Session 2014-2015 shall commence w.e.f. July, 2014
Reservation of Seats
Reservation Rules shall be followed as per State Government Rules.
Refund of Fees
1. Request for refund of fees should be made to the Vice-Chancellor, Bundelkhand University within
three weeks of remittance of the admission fee. On approval, such candidates shall be entitled for
refund of 50% of the amount deposited by them towards the admission fee.
2. Request for refund of fees shall not be considered under any circumstances, if made after three weeks
from the date of deposition of Admission fees by the candidate.
Date of Birth
Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/ University certificates only will be taken as
authentic. Candidates must produce original class X certificates, as a proof of their age at the time of
counselling, failing which they will be disqualified.
Discipline
1. Students are responsible for their conduct to the University administration and are prohibited from doing
anything either inside the University campus or outside which may amount to breach of discipline or
interference in the normal working of the University. A student will be liable to disciplinary action for
violation of any of the rules or discipline. Disciplinary action may involve monetary penalty, warning
and/or suspension from the class, from examination or from use of the University library depending on
the nature of offence, the concerned student may even be expelled from the university.
2. Students shall conduct themselves in a disciplined manner both towards the staff members (Teaching and
Non-Teaching) and their fellow students. Unbecoming behavior and rude conduct by the students shall be
severely dealt, as deemed fit by the University administration.

3. Students shall maintain discipline in and outside the classrooms and desist from demonstration or
disorderly behavior. They must not loiter in corridors or in front of classrooms or office rooms. Smoking in
the University premises including lawns, canteen, auditorium, classrooms, corridors, staircases, library
and reading-room is strictly prohibited.
4. Students shall take proper care of the University furniture and premises and they must not spoil or cause
any damage to or tamper with University property, furniture & fittings and lawns. Student found guilty to
this effect, will have to pay the cost of damage/loss caused to the property of the University.
5. Students shall leave their bicycle/scooter/motorcycle /car parked in the space provided for the purpose.
No scooter or motorcycle should be kept in any space other than the specified one.
6. No society can be formed in the University without the permission of the University administration. No
person can be invited to address a meeting in the University without the prior permission of the University
administration.
7. No student suffering from any contagious or infectious disease will be permitted to visit the University.
8. Any student who is found impersonating or allowing impersonation on his /her behalf at the University
examination will stand expelled from the University with immediate effect. No letter calling explanation or
show cause notice will be issued to such a student. No such student will be re-admitted in the University.
9. Outsiders are not allowed inside the University campus without permission of the University authorities.
10.Barring clause 7, violations of the above mentioned rules will lead to severe disciplinary action including
fine, suspension and expulsion from the University. The University administration can take such action
even without assigning any reason at all.
Ragging
As per the University/Government Rules, ragging is strictly prohibited within or outside the University
premises. Ragging includes display of noisy/ disorderly conduct, teasing, rough or rude treatment to the fellow
student(s), indulging in rowdy, undisciplined and obscene activities which cause or are likely to cause
annoyance, undue hardship, physical or psychological harm or mental trauma or raise apprehension or fear to
a fresher or other students, or forcing a student to do any act which he/she is not willing to do or which cause
him/her shame or embarrassment or danger to his/her life or limb, or indulging in eve teasing.
Any students found indulging in ragging directly or indirectly is liable to be severely punished.

General Information
1.
The information / executive instructions of the Government of India, State Govt. of U.P., the
regulations/ norms issued by the UGC and other statutory bodies, the order/judgement of the
Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the Hon'ble High Court at Allahabad shall be strictly
followed in admission to various courses mentioned in the bulletin.
2.
The information in the bulletin is complete. However, any subsequent change will be made
available on the University website www.bujhansi.org. The admission to any course is
suggestive of the fact that the terms and conditions laid down in the bulletin are acceptable to
the candidate and his/ her guardian. The existing provisions of the Act, Statutes, Ordinances
and Rules framed by the University and those modified from time to time shall govern the
candidature. Any change in the rules, regulations, fee, special conditions, etc. shall mutatis
mutandis apply to the admitted student.

The Bundelkhand University reserves all the rights to conduct Entrance Test - 2014 and any
decision taken by the University in this regard shall be final and binding on all applicants.
4.
The applicant is advised to get himself/ herself photographed in such a manner, so that the
photograph should bear the name of applicant clearly and size of photograph should not be
more than the size specified in the online form.
5.
The Candidature of a candidate (and the admission granted on that basis) shall stand cancelled
at any stage in case the candidate is found to be ineligible for appearing in the Entrance Test.

Non-Resident Indians (NRI), i.e. An Indian national domiciled abroad, or NRI wards, who have
graduated from a foreign University, shall not be required to appear in the Entrance Test.
8.
An examinee who has appeared for the B.A./B.Sc./ B.Com. (Part III) Examination of the
Bundelkhand University or any other University for the year 2014 and his result is not
declared shall be eligible to appear in the concerned Entrance test. Such candidates if
successful must submit their result/ marksheet at the time of admission in the respective
departments, other wise they will not be considered for admission in Post Graduate course
applied for.

Admissions to the courses of study are governed by the relevant provisions of the Bundelkhand
University Act.

10.
A weightage of 15% shall be given to those candidates who have passed qualifying examination
from school/college located within Jurisdiction of Bundelkhand University (i.e. from any
school/college located in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Orai , Banda, Mahoba, ,Chitrakoot (U.P.) and
Hamirpur District).
11.
For admission to any subject, preference shall be given to fresh graduates (i.e. candidates who
have passed the qualifying graduate examination for the immediately preceding academic
year) over graduates of earlier years. Accumulative discount at the rate of 5% of the
Standardized Score shall be applied for every gap year in case of earlier graduates, subject to
the maximum discount of 15%.

Foreign nationals who have applied through the International Students' Advisor in accordance
with the procedure laid down by the Admission Committee in this regard, shall not be required
to appear in the Entrance Test for any subject of M.A./M.Sc. or for M.Com., but shall be
considered for admission on the recommendation of a Committee constituted for the purpose,
which shall examine their academic credentials and certificates before making any
recommendation.
13.
The place of a candidate in the order of merit for any subject shall be modified in case of an
error in the calculation of his Computed Marks, and the admission of a candidate who is
excluded from the said order of merit as a result of the rectification of his Computed Marks
shall be cancelled.
14.
The instructions regarding the enrollment of admitted candidates in the courses of subjects
concerned, and other procedures to be under-taken by such candidates, as well as the
penalties (including cancellation of admission) for failure to comply to any course of study in
violation of these Rules, or of the Ordinances/ Regulations/ other provisions of the University,
shall stand cancelled with retrospective effect if such violation comes to light at any stage with
the said instructions, shall be issued by the Admission Committee and shall be binding on the
admitted candidates.
15.
The University reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate without specifying any
reason and to make changes in the rules and procedures for admission. University reserves the
right not to start any course, if adequate numbers of applicants are not available.

If a candidate has given false information in the Application Form or has concealed any relevant
fact or presented a misleading version of such relevant fact, or enclosed any false or fraudulent
document, his claim to be considered for admission shall stand cancelled.

The admission/ enrollment of a student in the course of study concerned in the University shall
automatically stand cancelled with effect from the date of his admission/ enrollment in any
degree-granting course of study in any other Institution, (including a University or Affiliated
College or Institute of the University).
19.
The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination / awaiting result may also apply for
admission. However, they will be considered for provisional admission only.
THIS CONDITION IS NOT APPLICABLE TO CANDIDATE APPLYING for M.Ed. COURSE.
