For my best piece I chose a analysis for a book report I completed last year for English 11. I
chose to do my analysis on a novel Flags of Our fathers. I chose to do my report on this
analysis because the novel was reccomended by a co-worker of my mom, who praised it as
one of the best novels he has read. The novel totally lived up to the expectations, if not
exceeding them. I found the novel to be riveting, gripping, and intreguing. The novel was a
moving potrayal of the conditions endured by the solidres stationed at Iwo Jima. The novel
centered around the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima, detailing the events leading up to it and
proceeding it. I found the novel to be very memorable and very much enjoyed writing the
analysis,which I believe came through in the quality of the final product.
