    I am writing this letter on behalf of Caroline Fogel. Caroline has been part of our online AP
    program at BCMHS for the last two years, as the coordinator for this program I have had the
    chance to get to know her as an intelligent, well-organized, and self-motivated student.
    The online AP courses we offer are college-board approved with tight timelines that are
    overseen by highly qualified teachers in the core subject areas. Students have no direct daily
    interaction with their teachers but are solely responsible for completing the assigned work using
    college level critical reading and writing skills by the deadlines provided by the program. Caroline
    has performed at a high level in both the English Language course her junior year and the English
    Literature course this year. She is routinely ahead of schedule, writes easily at a college level and
    shows insight into the motivation, psychology, and literary devices used in the assigned text.
    I have also been impressed by Carolines personal motivation and dedication to her
    education. Many students falter in the online environment we use for our AP program because of
    the lack of teacher interaction, fast pace, and amount of work required. Caroline has handled these
    challenges with ease. This year she has begun at the top of her game, within the first two weeks
    she was a full unit ahead of the pace set by the program and has remained ahead since then. If
    she continues at the pace she has started she could conceivably finish the course within one
    semester rather than the prescribed year.
    Thank you for giving me this opportunity to recommend Caroline to your program. It is an
    honor to be asked to write a letter of recommendation and I am particularly honored to be able to
    write a letter for Caroline who I know will be a great success.
