Learning Preferences
Its my belief that teachers need to be aware of their students learning
preferences. This is critical for a good learning experience in the classroom.
Without understanding how your students learn, how can you expect to
teach them and help them succeed in education? This tool is just a starting
point to understanding learning preferences.

3.b. Multiple Intelligences

The moment I learned about Multiple Intelligences I knew it was something I
would someday incorporate into my classroom. This tool encourages us to
think about how we are smart. It is such a great way to help teachers and
students recognize how they learn best and work with that knowledge in the
classroom. I cant wait to create a visual display of this tool so that it can
benefit not only my students, but me as well!

4. Seven Principles of UDL (Universal Design for Learning)

It is important to incorporate the UDL guidelines into the classroom, and this
tool helps you do that by defining those principles of design so you can
better utilize them in your classes! (I know this tool will help point me in the
right direction!)

5. Essential Qualities of UDL

UDL has 3 essential qualities: Multiple Means of: Representation,
Engagement, and Expression. This tool and its qualities are useful because
they offer the teacher different outlets to providing for the needs of
individual learners in the classroom. I will utilize this in my classroom since I
know I will have a very diverse and unique group of students every year that
I teach.
