Daniel: Recently I've been watching an American TV show called Mad Men. It's quite a wellknown show in the US, but I don't know how popular it is in the rest of the world. It's about
this guy called Don Draper, who works for an advertising agency in New York. It looks at life
in America in the 1960s, and I found it really interesting. Basically, it shows you that life was
very different at that time. For example, the roles of men and women in the workplace were
completely different. It was much worse for women.
People say it's an accurate description of what life was like for American people in the early
1960s, but I'm not so sure. Did everyone really smoke that much? Anyway, it's a really
interesting look at a different time.
