Standard 9 Professional Learning and Ethical Practice
The teacher is a reflective practitioner who uses evidence to continually
evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (students, families, and other professionals in the learning community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner. I have met Standard 9 Professional Learning and Ethical Practice as indicated by the running record practice worksheets which I completed during a professional learning seminar. I have become a reflective practitioner by taking a class to help me better understand how to do an effective running record. This will directly affect my students, families, and me. I will be able to use these running records to find out where my students are with their reading, self correcting and other areas in which they may need improvement. These running records will help me further my instruction to the student as well as show evidence of work/improvement to the childs family.
