Police arrest man who stole money meant for Haiti

Boynton Beach detectives this morning arrested the man who stole a container filled with
cash meant for Haiti relief from the counter of a gas station convenience store.
Gerrell Hall, 22, of 2621 N.E. 4th Court in Boynton Beach was charged with petty theft. He
was taken into custody around 9 a.m. at a Motel 6 in Lantana.
Police were able to identify Hall through surveillance video obtained from the January 28
theft at the Shell at 2360 N. Federal Highway.
Hall was remorseful about taking the clear plastic jar, which contained about $45 in
donations. He was given a notice to appear in court and released from the Boynton Beach
Police Department.
