rs. Holliday is the Title One

Curriculum Specialist at
McKissick Elementary. She oversees
the federal money given to the school.
She also writes and teaches federal
plans on a school level. Her challenge
as an educator is getting teachers to
perform their responsibilities. Some
teachers, Mrs. Holliday quotes, think
guidelines and rules do not apply to
them. They do not consider what is
best for the students. She supports
Common Core because it teaches higher-level thinking
and problem-solving skills. Mrs. Holliday enjoys helping
students always do their best work.

s. Owens is the daughter of Mrs. Holliday. Ms. Owens

attends North Greenville University and will
be graduating in 2018. Following in her
mothers footsteps, Ms. Owens will be an
elementary school teacher. She plans on
teaching third grade. Ms. Owens enjoys
reading, traveling, and playing with her
dog, Bleu Voodoo. She is excited to begin
teaching so she can be a daily impact in
the lives of her students.
