Belonging/

Whenua

Juju enjoys
nutritional
sessions and
incorporates
vocabulary
and concepts
from these in
to her dramatic play as she assimilates new
ways to care for her health.

Juju feels a
strong sense
of belonging
and knows
she belongs
here, often bringing things from home and
ensuring all of her belonging go to her locker
or in her bag. This is evident through her
taking an interest in all areas of our
curriculum even with new or novel
experiences she may feel uncertainty
towards.

Contribution/Mana
Tangata
Juju enjoys being able
to participate in all
activities within our
inclusive environment.
Juju has alwayshad a
sense of responsibility
and is now showing
great responsibility for
our environment and
natural world.

Juju is a very
confident girl
and has begun
adding to her
use of
communication to include instructional often
copying teachers phrases to test pro-social
strategies of negotiation. Jujus favourite
thing is to pretend to be the teacher and make
her friends copying her recitation of Quran.
Juju is very proud of how much Quran she
knows by heart.

Exploration/Mana
Aotroa
Juju is very confident
and has great control
of her body. Juju is in
the initial stages of
learning to use
scissors safely and
we will continue to
strengthen her fine
motor skills through tactile experiences (this
will also help with writing). We have started
incorporating directional language as part of
physical exploration to support math and
language

Juju has been working on managing impulses

as part of our plan for her to become more
persistent and minimise frustration. We have
seen great improvement and will now focus
on the persistence aspect of this while
supporting her great efforts of managing
impulses.
We will encourage Juju to join our PMP
(Perceptual Motor Program) as she continues
to strengthen eye-hand co-ordination and
physical skills. We will begin with
directionality l1.
