WHO:

David Ming Lee

WHEN:

April 24, 2015

Released 2-26-08/5:15PM

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

On October 25, 2012, Folsom Lake College (FLC) student David Ming Lee was arrested for weapons possession on
Folsom Lake Colleges main campus. Lee was convicted and sentenced to a nine-year split sentence: 5 years in jail
followed by 4 years of supervised probation. Due to time-served credits, Lee will be released on Friday, April 24 after
serving approximately 2 1/2 years in jail. LRPD formed a coalition comprising local law enforcement agencies and mental
health professionals to help manage activities related to Lees release and to share information and resources to support
and optimize community safety.
SUBJECT DESCRIPTION:

Asian American male, 64 tall, 174 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Lee is on formal searchable probation for the next four years, and his movements will be monitored via an
ankle monitor. Sacramento County Probation (SCP) will have primary responsibility, but will be supported by
multiple law enforcement agencies.
LRPD will also have access to Lees movements through the ankle monitoring system.
Lee is expelled from all Los Rios institutions, which means he cannot take classes on Los Rios property.
FLCs main Folsom campus has a stay-away order against Lee, which means he cannot be on the campus
for any reason.
During his probation, Lee is not permitted to be on any school campus or grounds, district office or related
buildings, unless he is enrolled at the particular school or is given permission by SCP. Since Lee cannot enroll
at any Los Rios institution, he cannot be on any Los Rios site.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SEE LEE ON OR NEAR ANY LOS RIOS PROPERTIES:

Immediately contact LRPD at (916) 558-2221 and press 0, or call 911. If you have any information regarding
suspicious or unlawful activity by or connected to Lee, immediately contact LRPD.
