A4
I grew up in Kearns Utah raised by my grandparents. I travels to Native
American pow-wows around the Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and
Wyoming. I went to St. Francis Xavier Catholic School from Preschool to 6 th grade.
At 7th grade I went to Kearns Jr. High to 8th grade. In 9th grade I started at AMES
Academy.
In the 8th grade I found out about Ames by Mrs. Begay. She wanted a good
education for me. At the time I didnt want to go I wanted to go to Kearns High. I got
in to Ames and didnt like it at first. I started to meet new people. I join student
council my sophomore year. Since freshman year I was part of the Native American
club.
Since I was little I loved to dance and sing at pow wows. I liked the
competition but mostly I like dancing for free and for the people. I loved dancing
and singing for children in elementary, jr high, and High school students. I also
danced for fundraisers, retirement homes, and for people out of the country.
I loves to run cross country and track. I have been running for a long time. I
ran track in Jr. High and took a break when I got to high school. In my last year in
high school I wanted to do it before I graduate. I also loves to fish in hunt and its
been something I did since he was little. My family took me to the Ute reservation
were we went fishing.
I only had one job in my life so far and that was a This Is The Place Heritage
Park. We did three performances a day and they thought the styles of dancing and
the singing in pow wows. We also gave tours at the Native American Village at the
park where they can learn about the 5 Native American Tribes in Utah. There people
that visited the park also could make Arrow head necklaces. That job was fun and
he loved doing it every day.
