A hiking trip to Bear Mountain is scheduled for Sunday May 17th at 7:30 am. Attendees should bring a simple lunch, water, tissues, towel, and hiking boots. The group will meet at the ice rink after taking the Cross Island Parkway to the Throgs Neck Bridge, through the Cross Bronx Expressway, to the George Washington Bridge, then the Palisades Parkway North and exiting at Bear Mountain. Black belt candidates in Tae Kwon Do training are required to attend as hiking complements their training by working on footing, balance, focus, endurance and breathing control. All students and family members are encouraged to join.

Cross Island Parkway to Throgs Neck Bridge through the
Cross Bronx Expressway. To George Washington Bridge right after George Washington Bridge first exit Palisades Parkway. Follow the palisade Parkway North and Exit [ Bear Mountain ] Continue until entrance for parking lot on left. Meet at the ice rink. There is a parking fee, but, maybe if you arrive before 7:30 there is no charge!
Tae Kwon Do training is complimented by mountain training. It
requires grace on footing, balance, focus, endurance, and breathing control. All Black Belt Testing Candidates are required to attend. All students and family members are encouraged to join us.
