FREDIE MERCURYS LIFE

Freddie Mercury was born on September 5th, 1946, in Zanzibar. His birth
name was Farrokh Bulsara. He was a shy and handsome boy. His parents were
Jer and Bomi Bulsara. Also, he lived in India with his aunt and uncle to have a
good education, so he was enroled at a British institution called St. Peters school.
When he was 10 years old, he liked sports such as boxing and table tennis. In
addition, he took piano lessons and joined the school choir because he was fond
of music, too. He began to show some acting skills and participated in several
musicals at college.
Then, he had his first musical group called THE HECTICS. After this time,
he became a British singer, musician and composer. In 1962, he and his family
went to live in the U.K. In 1966, Freddie started to study to become a graphic
designer, also, he became a number one fan of the group SMILE. In 1969, he
got his diploma in arts and design. After this time, Freddies public debut as a
singer was in a group called IBEX, but the band broke up. So he tried with
another group called SOUR MILK SEA and later that year he became the lead
singer. In 1970 he became the lead singer of the group SMILE .Later, Freddie
insisted on renaming the band and named it QUEEN, and since then his
nickname was Freddie Mercury. In addition, he created the groups logo and he
was a provocative, versatile and charismatic figure.
In 1970, Freddie will never forget the day he met his bride called Mary
Austin because they lived together for seven years. Then, in the eighties he
changed his style, he cut his hair and grew a moustache. In the eighties he began
his solo career and released two albums which were Mr. Bad Guy in 1985, and
Barcelona in 1998. In 1992, a song from the second album was the official song
for the Barcelona Olympic Games.
Finally, he died on November 24th, 1991, in London because he got
bronchopneumonia which was complicated by AIDS. He was 45 years old when
he died, and one day after his death, it was announced publicly that he had AIDS
since 1986.
After his death, in September 2006, another major tribute called THE
VERY BEST OF FREDDIE MERCURY was offered.
Also he was named the best male singer of all time. In addition, he was
ranked among the top best rock singers.
