Subject: Doubble up Product Output from Ball Mills by PSRG Milling Technology
Cemeng PSRG Milling technology is an innovative approach employing compound milling
comprising both compression roller grinding and centrifugal grinding engineered to set up a new
bench mark involving re-design of grinding mill, its internals and also various operating paramters
effectively combined to achieve performance enhancement. PSRG mills are economical from
installation and operating costs. Re-engineering is rather uncommon in the substantially prevailing
practice of employing used cement plant machinery, especially media grinding mills in either
expansion or green field plants. PSRG Milling technology can be integrated into any existing
trunnion mounted or shell mounted media grinding mills at least costs for better productivity and
lower specific power consumption.

In principle, the conventional ball mill can provide double the output when converted to PSRG
System after duplicating the drive argt. In case of new installations, Cemeng PSRG Mill of smaller
zize than conventional ball mill can be installed.
Re-engineering of single compartment mills may be comparatively simpler. Two-compartment mills
and three-compartment mills require assessing the capability of each compartment individually and
combined for optimization. In some cases, it may be possible to avoid close circuit functioning of the
mill with Classifiers, and still get the desired product fineness, though at expense of higher power
consumption, at overall reduced installation costs. Customized study of each installation is called for
prior to working out various re-engineering proposals.
