To whom it may concern:

My name is Rita Cuevas and I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Anna Bertram. I
had the immense pleasure of having Anna in my English 10 Advanced Placement Preparation course.
For many students, the course proved challenging and, at times, overwhelming. While many students
grumbled, Anna approached each new unit with no complaint, completed each task to the best of her
ability, and greeted each educational opportunity with a true desire to learn and grow. I believe one of the
reasons Anna was so successful was, in part, due to her ability to organize and plan. For example, for the
major research paper assignment, Anna had a file folder to organize her documents, an on-line document
to track her sources, and a planner complete with notes and scheduled out due-dates; her ability to plan
ahead to tackle large assignments while still juggling six other classes is quite laudable.

In short, Anna is an incredibly well rounded student who embraces lifes challenges (both academic and
personal) and, with grace, dignity, and integrity works to succeed: and she has. Anna ranks highly in her
class academically, embraces learning opportunities by taking dual-enrolled courses, and is the
embodiment of what a scholar is. It is with the greatest confidence that I offer my recommendation on her
behalf.
