OBJECTIVE

SKILLS & ABILITIES

I plan to begin a career in an elementary school setting.

I have worked with young children in a variety of settings. I have worked with them during
softball camps, space camps, Girls in Science camp, and also through student teaching and
my practicum.
Some skills that I possess are being able to work in a group and get along with colleagues. I
am also very knowledgeable about the curriculum and I like to make learning fun. In my
classroom, I will make lesson engaging and cater to the learning styles of my students. I
understand that being in an elementary setting things change often and therefore I am very
flexible. I also have a basic understanding of technology. I am able to make flipcharts to
show on the Interactive whiteboard, I can use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, any version of
computer program and iPads.

EXPERIENCE

CHALLENGER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-1ST GRADE [STUDENT TEACHING]

SPRING 2015

I spent two months in a first grade placement. During my time in my first placement, I
learned management strategies and how to keep the students fully engaged. I also attended
all professional developments offered and attended faculty meetings.
CHALLENGER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL- AUTISM [STUDENT TEACHING]
SPRING 2015

I spent two months in a self-contained Autism unit. During my time in special education
placement I worked individually, in small groups, and whole groups with the students. I was
also an active part of my 8 students IEPs.

EDUCATION

I will graduate in May 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education. I will also be certified in
Special Education. My GPA at UAH was 3.3.I will graduate as part of the education honors
society, Kappa Delta Pi. While at UAH, I was also a part of the softball team.
