Visual Merchandising: Model of Courage

Date: October 23, 2014
The first visual presentation is going to be promoting breast cancer awareness. The event
will be held at Spa Sydell located at 10593 Old Alabama Connector, Alpharetta, Ga on Thursday
October 23, 2014. The company has collaborated with the spa to offer complimentary spa
services. There will be banners hung that will represent the special appearances and speakers

with an all pink theme. The banners will hang from the windows and ceiling. The banners will
not only represent Tracy Nicole, but breast cancer awareness going on in October. There will be
streamers and balloons in all of the lobby area. There will also be a donated pink red carpet that
the speakers will be speaking from. They will not need a microphone because the space is not
that big. There will be finger food and refreshments along with music. When people walk in to
the spa they will hang the bras that they would like to donate on the mannequins, while handing
the invitation to an intern so that we know how many bras they have donated. The mannequins
will be staggering both sides of the door making three on each side.
We will be bring merchandise to the spa and use 6 mannequins and 2 double clothing
racks. The clothing racks are going to be placed on each side of the checkout table by the side
window and register. The previous merchandise that is already there we will neatly arrange in
the windows and second floor on the spa shelves where the guest complimentary services will be
held during the evening. The items coming with us are going to be from our current collection.
We will hang the items on the 2 double racks that were bringing. We would suggest that the
newest items be placed on the mannequins. We want to bring two sets of each size for every item
that we bring. The Rene angled top that is $89, which comes in red, oatmeal, and white. The
Torie double v top in white for $92. The maroon v neck Signature Dress for $60. The white tracy
nicole clothing t-shirt for $19. The Christy black faux leather joggers for $110. The Kennedy
perfect pencil skirt for $79, which comes in red and cream. The fitted full length skirt for $45,
which comes in white, grey, and black. All of the merchandise is coming from the warehouse,
there is nothing at the spa. We are hoping that Spa Sydell would allow us to collaborate and bring
in our merchandise and put it in the lobby where the speakers will be speaking. We will prepare
the spa two hours prior to the event, so that we are not cutting into the spas regular hours.
The spa is helping us to promote breast cancer awareness, and our brand of clothing. We
will be using the first floor main lobby area of the spa to host the actual trunk show. There will
be banners, signs, and business cards. Along with the mannequins and clothing racks for the
merchandise we will be selling. The set up for the event will all be taking place the day of so
that they can still operate during normal business hours. Not a lot of physical things to the stores
such as lighting will be changed because we want them to see the clothing and speakers. On the
2nd and 3rd floor the areas where the complimentary services are held will already be set up
from earlier that day, all we would need to do is add the merchandise from the first floor to the
shelves on the second floor and display the posters.
The measurements of the poster ads and signage that we will need are 15x17 there are 35
of these posters. We suggest that some 3-4 of the posters be displayed along the wall windows on
the first floor and place the other posters along a few select windows in the different service
rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor as well as outside the spa entrance/exit. All of the banners and
posters are going to say Go Pink for TNC, in addition they will include the pink breast cancer
ribbon logo and TNC (Tracy Nicole Clothing) logo. These signs will be hung throughout the spa
on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, at the beginning of October to promote the day of the event.

Visual Merchandising
Date: November 20, 2014
Garb is a rectangular retail space. Dressing rooms are in the back right corner, and the
cash register is in the front along the right side wall. There is a table in the middle of the floor,
and along both sides of the room there are built in shelves. The shelves along the side wall
display Toyas shoes and the back wall has clothing in them. The middle table has more
merchandise and decorations in it. Garb is a nice little boutique and we dont want to change the
decor or seem to overtake the space, but instead to work together and run like a normal business
day.

Along the back wall on the other side of the dressing rooms there will be a small mobile
bar where we will have a servers. The guy will have on a pair of gray skinny jeans and will be in
a white Tracy Nicole t-shirt. He will be handing out peach cobbler (from Mary Macs Tea Room)
that is served in clear plastic bowls along with a fork. Along with the one serving of peach
cobbler he will also be handing to the guest a sip of Caio Pesca Punch; by Lure. The punch is
going to be poured as it is ordered and will be put into elegant clear 8 oz. plastic square tumblers.
There will be trash cans for the disposable dinnerware at all four corners of the store. By only
having one server working five hours instead of three, we freed up about $295 which we can use
for the punch and peach cobbler.
Garbs color scheme is white and baby blue so our peach colors will go nicely with the
store. If there is any visual merchandise that we need to move it will be stored in the back storage
room of Garb. Since this is a one day event we will start the decorations the night before and
finish the last minute touches the morning of the event before the store opens. Our theme is
Georgia Peach and since peaches are in season a lot of our decoration will consist of peaches.
For example, the middle table is going to have a rustic medium basket on its side with peaches
flowing out of it. Our budget included balloons and streamers which we are not using so that
money will be used on buying peaches for the dcor.
There are two store front windows book shelving the front door. Both windows have
white rectangular frames, and in and on top of them we will spread a few peaches as well as
having small baskets of peaches. The frames would makes it difficult to display Tracys clothes,
so we will continue to show Toyas shoes. A week before the event we will be placing posters in
both windows. The posters will look rustic, and the background will appear as old wood plaques.
On the top in big letters it will say Pleasant Peach and under that in slightly smaller letters it
will say With Tracy Nicole. On the bottom left it will have a picture of an overflowing basket
of peaches and on the right it will give the details for the event: Join Us on November 20,
between 12-5pm for a free sample of Mary Macs Tea Rooms peach cobbler and Cairo Pesca
Punch by Lure. Bring a nonperishable item to receive a discount on a raffle ticket. On the bottom
of the poster will have a logo of each company who is involved in this event; Tracy Nicole, Garb,
Lure, Mary Macs Tea Room, Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, Hosea Feed the Hungry and
Homeless of Atlanta, Fabuline, and Houstons.
We will keep the lighting in the windows the same since they are already pointed in the
right directions. If needed, we will move one slightly to have it highlight our signage. Our event
is on a Thursday so we will have the window changed to our theme a week prior so that the
weekend crowd will see and know about the event. Since it is almost a week, we might need to
check up on the display to make sure the peaches still look fresh and delightful.
At the register, middle table, and a few spots on the shelves we will have Tracy Nicole
business cards for easy access for the guest that will include her website and store locations. Plus
we also have 2-4 interns working the sales floor to assist the guests with questions or help them
4

order/buy items. Both interns will also be selling raffle tickets to the guest and taking in the can
goods. There will be a box near the bar to place the donated nonperishable goods. Toya will also
have a few of her employees out on the floor to help with her product as well as working her
register. Since we are using our interns to help on the sales floor, we wont have to pay them, but
will give them one free item from last season collection. They also will be dressed in the
Kennedy red pencil skirt, a white Tracy Nicole T-shirt, and a pair of heels.
Tracy will have two double sided racks of her clothing on the left side of the store. The
current merchandise that is here we can place on hire shelves but if there is not enough room
then we will just place them in the back stockroom until the event is over. In front of them we
will have a mannequin in one of the outfits that we will be selling (The Remi). On the other side
of the store we will have two more mannequins in two other outfits (1. The Micki in grey 2. The
faux leather Christy with the Rene in Red). The mannequins will also have shoes on from Garb
sells floor. The racks will have two of each size of each garment hanging on the racks by
hangers. When some sell we can restock the racks from clothes we will have stored in the back.
The reason for that is because we dont want our racks to look overfilled and therefore look
cheap. For any reason we dont have what the guest needs then we will have order forms for
them where they can order and have it mailed to them.
