    Dakota Access Pipeline Petition

    To: Dakota Access LLC, subsidiary of Texas Fortune 500 Energy Transfer Partners L.P.
    From: Concerned farmers and citizens in the State of Iowa
    Purpose:
    The purpose of this petition is to voice the concerns of the people of Iowa, and share the publics
    opinion that the Bakken Pipeline proposed by Dakota Access LLC should NOT be constructed.
    Background Information:
    There are countless reasons why the construction of the Bakken Pipeline would be detrimental to
    the state of Iowa and its people. Listed below are some statistics relevant to the construction of
    the Bakken Pipeline proposed by Dakota Access LLC:
    -

    570,000 barrels of crude oil would be carried across Iowa land per day.

    Proposed pipeline route would cross through two main Iowa watersheds, which both
    provide drinking water to Iowans.

    In 2012, there were 139 reported pipeline leaks in North Dakota alone; contaminating
    drinking water.

    $20 million to clean up September 29th, 2013 oil spill in North Dakota.

    Proposed route would take land from 2,600 Iowans

    If the pipeline was constructed, the land it was built on could no longer be farmed, which
    would impact the crop yield (production) negatively.

    By signing this petition you are supporting the people of Iowas opinion that the Dakota Accesss
    Bakken pipeline will negatively impact the state and people of Iowa, and should not be built
