I am passionate and committed

I wonder how much longer is going to take before everyone puts on their equity glasses
I hear children's laughter as they are learning from one another
I see classrooms full of critical thinkers engaged in learning
I want for everyone to truly believe in the capacity of every student
I am passionate and committed
I develop positive relationships and embrace diversity
I feel that there is HOPE
I touch the minds of agents of change
I worry that institutionalized racism is determining the success of students of color
I cry when our children of color are judged and discriminated against
I am passionate and committed
I understand that I will not stop until all students are respected and empowered
I say that every learners deserves equitable access to high quality education
I dream about our collective effort leading us to EQUITY for all
I try to plant as many seeds of change whenever possible
I hope to see change of direction in our schools
