Students are completing a two-week unit on family roots and heritage. As part of the assignment, students prepared questions to ask their parents about their family history and origins. Parents are asked to take the time to answer their children's questions and help them record the responses on an attached sheet, which is due on March 23rd. The responses will allow students to write a piece on what they have learned about their family roots from the interview.

Dear Parents, As part of my student teaching experience, I am leading a two week unit on family roots. Throughout this unit, students are thinking about where their families are from and what that means to them. To learn more about their heritage, students have prepared a list of questions to ask you. Please take some time to answer their questions and to help them record your responses on the attached sheet. These responses are due Monday, March, 23. Students will need your responses to complete the next part of the assignment, which will be a writing piece on what they have learned about their family roots. Best, Ms. Pehrson
