The student spent 43 minutes creating a bibliography in MLA format for the Mythbusters episode "Hair of the Dog". They then spent 25 minutes watching the Mythbusters episode "Blue Ice" and took notes on the science concepts learned from both episodes. Key points from "Hair of the Dog" included that scent-defeating chemicals and flowing water cannot fool a bloodhound's powerful sense of smell. Key points from "Blue Ice" included that lighting a magazine on fire in a toaster takes only 12 minutes and that blue ice is caused by technical problems, not the pilot.
