Impact Project Lesson 2
1. Standards:
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.K.3.C
Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do,
does).
2. Objectives:
SWBAT: Recognize high frequency/sight words through fine motor activities
3. Materials: iPad, magnetic letters/board, list of words, powerpoint (computer)
4. Procedures:
Introduction1. Using the iPad, the student will practice recalling and writing high frequency words
that she often has trouble with on an interactive app.

On a Powerpoint, I will display different sight words.


First I will say the word and then the student will say the word.
She will create the word out of magnetic letters while spelling the word.
We will be doing this for 16 of the sight words she needs work on.

Closing6. After creating each word with magnetic letters, I will go through the Powerpoint once
more to see what words the students can recall.
5. Assessment:
- Going through each word after the lesson to see what words were retained
6. Management Issues, Transitions, and Differentiation:
- Working with the student one on one
