To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is to express and demonstrate what I have accomplished in English 2010 this
semester.
I believe that the progress I made on the assignments this semester definitely meet the
performance requirements of the course. I have learned a lot throughout this course; not
only through the requirements given, but also by the peer reviews. The reviews given on
my rough drafts were extremely helpful in the learning process.
The process that was required for the writing assignments was pretty straight forward.
First, read the directions closely and follow them as best you can. Submit your rough
draft. After peers have reviewed your rough draft, you can make corrections accordingly.
Next, compose and submit a second draft. After the peer reviews on this draft, compose
and submit the final draft.
There were certain challenges I came across during this course. I found that there was not
a lot of instructor feedback; not in regards to myself necessarily, but some of the other
students have mentioned that they could not get many answers from the instructor. The
upside to this is that the answers to most of the posted questions were answered by fellow
students. I view this as a positive in the course. I personally like the fact that the
instructor kind of sat back and let the students figure out the course for ourselves.
The assignments I chose to include in my portfolio were the ones that I think I did well
on. To me, these assignments show the progress I have made throughout the course. They
show the advancement from simple memoirs, to a collaborative group project.
In conclusion, I feel that I have greatly benefited from taking this course. I hope that the
assignments I have chosen to display support my growth throughout the course.

Sincerely,
Josh Seifert
