Re: Extension of the Period of Optional Use by
PEZA Enterprises of the Bureau of Customs’ e2m
Transshipment System for Import Cargoes

In accordance with agreements made with BOC Commissioner Alberto Lina in relation to
the implementation of BOC-PEZA Joint Memorandum Order No. 01-2015 (‘the JMO"),
please be advised that in lieu of the 04 May 2015 effectivity of the JMO, the use by PEZA.
Enterprises of BOC’s e2m Transshipment System for their import cargoes, including the
implementation of corollary procedures under the JMO, shall continue to be optional, as
Provided in Section 2 of the JMO, for another 30 days from 04 May 2015,
Pending issuance of further guidelines, BOC accreditation of PEZA enterprises through
the BOC-Account Management Office (AMO) will not be required for purposes of
lodgement in BOC’s e2m Transshipment System, as long as the company's CPRS is
active and its importations are covered by a sufficient bond as prescribed in the JMO, the
minimum face value of which shall be P 1,000,000.00. All existing bonds shall not be
cancelled and shall continue to be valid until their respective expiry dates, provided that
the prescribed minimum face value is complied with
PEZA enterprises are strongly encouraged to already lodge transhipment entries for their
respective importations through BOC's e2m Transshipment System in preparation for the
mandatory implementation of BOC-PEZA JMO No. 01-2015.
