April 23, 2015 ‘To Whom It May Concern: Please accept this letter of recommendation for Ray Thacker. It was my pleasure to serve as his faculty mentor during his Leadership/Management senior Capstone clinical experience. Ray did in access of the one-hundred and fifty required hours at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salt Lake. The setting was Same-Day-Surgery. This young clinician distinguished him self, with a performance level skill sets well above those of a more experienced nurse. During site visits rave unsolicited praise worthy comments were received from all of the nurses; with whom he worked. Ray has exceptional critical/analytical thinking skills, a wonderful sense of humor, intellectual curiosity, a solid internal locus of control and a high energy level. This combined with a love of people, nursing and noteworthy interpersonal skills. He approaches nursing as a warm and caring professional, During and again at conclusion of his Capstone clinical he was approached by Nurse Manager and staff and has much support for employment when he completes the licensure process. His academic record, talented writing and verbal skills bode well for a future positive graduate school experience. A stellar clinician who is a joy with whom to associate, he will make an impressive mark on the profession as he goes forward. Without a doubt, this is one of the best of the best. His employer will be most fortunate to have him, Please feel free to contact for an additional information.
