Rec Track & Field

Trojans pin down pair of titles

The Bridgewater
Recreation Commission
will continue to sponsor
a spring track and eld
program for Bridgewater
youngsters entering
grades 5-8. The program
will be held Mondays
and Wednesdays, from
5:30-7 p.m., beginning on
April 28 and continuing
through June 18, and will
take place at the Bridgewater State University
track and eld facility
at Swenson Field. The
program will be directed
by Sam Baumgarten,
Kim Larcom, and Joe
Gillis. Sign up forms
are being distributed
through the schools, and
completed applications
should be returned to
the Recreation Commission. The form is
also posted on the Town
website, www.bridgewaterma.org, and the youth
track website, www.
bridgewateryouthtrack.
webs.com. For additional

the sport of wrestling, Aaric
Rivera sure does a good
impression of one.
The Brockton High
junior had pinned every
120-pound wrestler in
the Division 1 South Sectional during the dual
meet season, save one

met the No. 1 on Saturday night at the sectional
championships in Weymouth, the No. 2 seed was

Fred Conrad doesnt leave
his job behind when he
pulls out of the B-R parking lot.
In his spare time, Conrad
is using his passion for the
sport to give back to the
community. Conrad has
been involved with Brickroad Wrestling Inc. for
three years. Brickroad is
a nonprofit organization
that helps under-privileged
youth stay on a straight
path..
Brickroad was established 10-12 years ago,
Conrad said. It was first
started through the school,
but after budget cuts it
was moved from the high
school to the middle school
and now to where it is in
Lakeville.

Pitching lessons
The USC Complex on
Route 53 in Hanover
is offering a series of
pitching lessons for all
ages. The lessons are
conducted by former
Abington High School
and UMaine pitching ace
Steve Perakslis. Perakslis
just completed his rst
season of professional
baseball pitching for
Kane County, a single-A
affiliate of the Chicago
Cubs organization.
Lessons are half-hour
in duration and the fee
is $50 per session. For

never misses a practice was

My name is Isabella

Antonangeli and I am a
sophomore at West Bridgewater High School. I am an
all-around gymnast from
West Bridgewater combining with B-R schools.
This is the first year WB
had an option to combine
so this is my first season
competing with them, but
I have been doing gymnastics since I was three years
