DEFINITION OF AUDIT
I am going to talk about the definition of the audit.
It is comprehensive and constructive review of the organizational
structure of the company and their methods of control, operation and
use of its human and material resources.
The audit consists of issuing professional opinion and if the object
analyzed correctly presents the reality which seeks to reflect and
complies with the condition prescribed.
Auditing refers to a systematic examination of books, accounts,
documents and vouchers of an organization to ascertain how far the
financial statements present a true and fair view of the concern.
It also attempts to ensure that the books of accounts are properly
maintained by the concern as required by law.
Now to explain the work of the auditor
What does an auditor do?
Auditors are independent specialist who review the accounts of the
companies and organizational to ensure the validity and legality of their
financial records. The can also act in an advisory role to recommend
possible risk aversion measures and cost saving that could be mad.
Working in accounting departments and with independent chartered and
certified firms, examining the money going in and out of organization
and making sure it is recorded and processed correctly.
