The Humane Society of the Black Hills is requesting donations to support their annual fundraising campaign. They assist over 6,000 stray and unwanted animals each year, with almost half being adopted. As the only major animal shelter for a large region, they face financial challenges in providing food, shelter, health care and support for these animals. Donations are needed to continue their important work caring for lost, homeless and forgotten pets in the community.

Janelle Galpin Humane Society of the Black Hills 1820 E St. Patrick St. Rapid City, South Dakota 57703 Dear animal lover: We write to ask you to support the Humane Society of the Black Hills this year with a donation to our annual fundraising campaign. Each year, HSBH assists more than 6,000 stray and unwanted animals with almost half being adopted. Without donations from people like you, this would not be possible. HSBH currently operates as the only major animal shelter west of the Missouri River in SD. Because of the shortage of shelters, strays and animals are picked up from as many as 20 different counties. To provide food, shelter, comfort, health care and support for these forgotten pets, we face a financial challenge. We are counting on your support. We promise that we will not be telephoning you, but we do hope that you will respond positively to our written request. A donor envelope is included for your convenience. Your donation will be recognized in our annual Humane Society of the Black Hills Puparazzi Calendar. Remember that your gift may be tax-deductible! Please call Henry Blake if youd like to find more ways to get involved with the Humane Society of the Black Hills. His direct line is 605-310-000 and his email is Blake@bhhs.org Thanks in advance for your support! Janelle Galpin Community Relations Chair Humane Society of the Black Hills
