Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

UDL provides a blueprint for creating instructional goals,

methods, materials, and assessments that work for everyone--not
a single, one-size-fits-all solution but rather flexible approaches
that can be customized and adjusted for individual needs.

Key Idea!
UDL is not just for students with special
needs. ALL students can benefit from UDL
lessons. Ex: a student who is a proficient
reader could still benefit from using text to
speech tool.

Examples of UDL:

AIM - free tool that allows more features for text readers
including magnification, custom colors for text and background,
text-to-speech, text highlighting, layout options.etc.
Readability - eliminates all of the JUNK associated with trying
to read articles on the internet.
