    1. What is the definition of engineer and what are their


    roles in society?
    2. In your opinion, how does a scientist differ from an
    engineer?
    3. What are the objectives of development? How does this
    concern you as an engineer and as an individual?
    4. Malaysia aspires to achieve the status of a developed
    nation by the year 2020. What criteria must a nation
    achieve to qualify as a developed nation? Assess the
    current status of Malaysia and what steps are being taken
    to accomplish the goals of bringing the country towards a
    fully developed nation. In addition, review (Malaysia Plan
    9) RM9 achievements and briefly discuss the five major
    thrust of (Malaysia Plan 9) RM10.
