This letter of recommendation is from Julie Ransom, a Theatre Arts instructor at Merced and Golden Valley High Schools, for Adrian Saenz. Ransom has known Adrian since 2011 when he began her Beginning Theatre Arts course and has been involved in the program for 4 years. Ransom describes Adrian as conscientious, hard-working, and willing to take on any task. She notes that Adrian has held lead roles, worked behind the scenes, and served as the stage manager for the current production of The Wiz. Ransom believes Adrian would be a great asset to any college program.

To Whom It May Concern: Re: Adrian Saenz I have known this student since August, 2011 when he began my Beginning Theatre Arts course. I am a Theatre Arts instructor at Merced and Golden Valley High Schools, and Adrian is one of my Production and Direction students; this is his 4th year in the program. Adrian is very conscientious and is even serving as my stage manager for The Wiz this quarter. I have enjoyed working with Adrian, and he is always working above and beyond what is expected or required of him to get projects finished. Adrian has spent this year as a director of his peers, writing and directing 1 show, performing in another, and directing his spring project. In addition to his school work, Adrian is active in the theatre program and participates fully in the productions we have. Adrian has held a lead role in Its A Wonderful Life, and has worked as a technician behind the scenes. I have not witnessed any attitude from him, despite where he was cast or what crew he was placed on. Adrian is willing to do any task I give him, and is one of the first to ask for something to do when he is finished with his tasks. I think this young man would be a great asset to any program and/or college that is fortunate enough to accept him.
