Dear Sir/Madam
REF: Graduate (Law) (4260) Bellville
I hereby apply for the above-quoted advertised post. I completed my Degree in Law (LLB) at the
University of Fort Hare and graduated last year. As a result, I have a well-rounded basic understanding
of the laws governing the short term insurance industry.
During the time at university, I also completed an Assessor and Facilitator course. Also, throughout
my studies, I was working part time for a small but established training consultancy in the Eastern
Cape. The nature of my work there was mostly administrative and I also took on relevant facilitator
duties from time to time.
Throughout my career, I have always been motivated to receive and impart information as much as
possible. I am an individual who is always keen to learn new things and always push myself into
territories which might not exactly fall into my scope of education.
I am highly adaptive and share a good sense of responsiveness to changing professional situations.
Closer to the heart, I have been involved in a number of social programmes, assisting homeless and
underprivileged in a number of projects such as career guidance and cultural awareness programmes.
Presently, I am part of an initiative to help establish a library, in partnership with the Department of
Arts & Culture EC, in the remote rural village of Nqolosa (Cofimvaba) in the former Transkei.
In conclusion, I believe I am a well-rounded, skilled and multi-disciplined young man with a vision and
a clear sense of career direction. I believe that I may add value to the Sanlam, much in the same way
that it adds value to the lives of its clients.
Yours Sincerely
Luxolo Zakaza
