    TheManorFarmrunssmoothly,amodelagriculturaloperation.Theanimalspulltheir
    loadsandfileintomeetings,thewindmillchoppingsteadilyinthebreeze.Atacloserglance,
    theireyeshavedulledandtheirmovementsaremechanized.RevolutionbeganwiththepigOld
    Majorsprophecy
    of the golden future time
    (Orwell9).CrueltybythehandofManwouldbe
    toleratednomore.AnimalsintimidatedManwithfierceideals,takingthepowerforthemselves.
    Thepigssprangupastheobviousleadersinalltheothersunknowingelation.Theysetupseven
    CommandmentsastoneverleadManslife.However,eachedictalteredincrementallyasto
    becomeunrecognizable.Eachslightchangewasasteptowardstheenemy,andintheend,they
    becameoneandthesame.
    SevenCommandmentsmarkedthefundamentalprinciplesofthefarmsnewlyadopted

    actionsshouldhaveexecutedthem.Therules,constantlypaintedoverbydishonestSquealer,
    amountedtohiscorruptionbypower.Napoleonsalreadyhighspotonthefarmstotempole
    gavehimtheupperhandinmanipulatingtheothersintoreverence.ChasingawaySnowballwas
    histrumpcard,shiftingtheenemyfromMantotheformercoleaderofthefarm.The
    CommandmentswereestablishedforthesolereasonofneverbecomingMan,thoughthepigs
    stoodinJonessfineclothinganddranktotheenemy.
    Buildingawindmillwasanexcellentsolutiontotheproblemofincreasingmanpower.It
    wasaprojectinvolvingeveryoneandtoshowthefarmersoutsidehowwelltheirindependence
    wasfaring.Ofcourse,sinceitwasSnowballsideaNapoleonhadtodisagreeforthesakeof
    seemingbetter.Theirtwocampaignswereessentiallyaqueryofworknoworworklater?The
    pigsunderlyingmotivewouldalwaysbeaimedtowardsgainingcontrol.Snowballsproposal
    madesenseandthepigwouldhavetobedeposedinordertogiveNapoleontheimageofahero.
    Insteadofthedictatorshipoftheproletariat,thefarmevolvedintothedictatorshipof
    theautocrat.OldMajorsdreamofatimeofpeaceandprosperitybecamesotwisted,pitting
    animalagainstanimalwithoutanyofthemnoticing.OfcoursethefarmersoutsidelikeFrederick
    andPilkingtontooknote,butitwasamicableacknowledgementandbusinessasusualwith
    Napoleonincharge,goingsofarastohaveadrinkandagameofcards.Thecitizensthemselves
    werepeltedwithfactsandfigures,evenafterBoxerwassenttohisdeath.Allthoughtsof
    anotherrevoltweresuppressedbythechangingdetailshereandthereuntilhistorycouldnever
    repeatagain.
    ThemindsoftheanimalswereawashinthelightofNapoleonsrule.TheManorFarm
    stoodashiningexampleofwhateveryotherfarmwouldstrivetobe.However,theirminds
    slowly,subtlyshiftedineverycelltoaccepttheirgodlikeleader.Inreality,lifewascrueland

    theyworkedtothebone,tiredbutilliterateandsatisfied.EachdaywasheraldedbySquealers
    enormousgushofwords,asteadyflowofmorphinepulsingintheveinsoftheweary.The
    animalsbaskedinthegloryoffreedom,thoughitwastheshadowofcommunismshrouding
    themindarkness.

    withthecorruptionoftheselfcanbeexpandedtocorruptioninasocietytoevenoutthestrange
    alterationofsubjectmatter.
