Australian Aborigines and Their Culture

I. Preliminary Planning- The presentation should be complete with pictures and examples or the
students to learn from.
Objective(s) of the lesson:

To discuss the culture and customs of native Australians in order to


connect to their musical uses. We will also talk about why it is
important to know about the Aborigines and Native Americans by
connecting the lesson to sustainability of culture.

Today we are going to learn about Aborigines and how it is


important to learn about history.

-A presentation will be viewed and discussed with the students


about the Aborigines and music in their culture.
-Sustainability will be connected to by talking about how music is
used to preserve different cultures.

that a good substitute could study
them and teach this class.

Music is used in many ways by many different people. Music has


been around for a very long time and it can tell us something about
the past and what the people were like by the way they used it.

should be incorporated in to all future lessons in order to keep their
attention.
