HERKIMER, NY Helping the Herkimer Generals mens lacrosse team to a national ranking throughout
the 2015 season, sophomore Kyle Lee was named Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year on
Monday (4/27).
Lee - who is from Cincinnati, OH - had some stellar offensive numbers from his attack position
during the spring. Lee scored 43 goals (sixth best in the nation) and accumulated 20 assists in 12 games
which helped him to 63 points in 2015. His best two games came back-to-back against Hudson Valley and
Niagara, netting 19 goals and connecting on seven assists, helping the big bodied player earn Region III
Athlete of the Week. His 11-goal performance against the Thunderwolves saw Lee score eight goals in the
first half which tied his career-high for goals in a game with 60 more minutes to play at home. More
importantly however, Lee helped the Generals to a birth in the Region III playoff, his first and the
programs first playoff game in a couple seasons.
Kyle started every game for us this season, and finished as one of the top goal scorers in the
nation, said Head Coach Jamie Ireland. Im impressed with the way he improved himself as a
distributor this season, making our offense difficult for most opponents to handle, totaling 100 points in
two years as a General. Kyle was a great asset, and will surely be missed!
