Vintage Film Effect in PAINT.

01. Open Image


02. Duplicate Image (LAYERS > DUPLICATE LAYER) and rename (LAYERS > LAYER PROPERTIES) to SEPIA.
03. Select SEPIA layer and go to (ADJUSTMENTS > SEPIA)
04. Uncheck SEPIA layer to hide layer for now.
05. Select BACKGROUND layer
06. Go to (ADJUSTMENTS > HUE / SATURATION) and set SATURATION to 115
07. Go to (ADJUSTMENTS > BRIGHTNES / CONTRAST) and set CONTRAST to 20
08. Go to (ADJUSTMENTS > CURVES) and set TRANSFER MAP to RGB
09. Set CURVES to look like Fig. 1 on Page 2 of this document
10. Select SEPIA layer and check the box on the right to unhide layer
11. While still on the SEPIA layer, go to (Layers > Layer Properties) and set OPACITY to 120
12. While on SEPIA layer, create a new layer (LAYERS > ADD NEW LAYER) and name it MAGENTA COLOR CAST
13. Select the COLORS window (WINDOW > COLORS) and click MORE
14. In the HEX field, enter FF00DC
15. Select the PAINT BUCKET

on the TOOLS window and click image to fill MAGENTA COLOR CAST layer with magenta

16. While still on the MAGENTA COLOR CAST layer, go to (Layers > Layer Properties) and set MODE to SCREEN and OPACITY to 30
17. Finally, select (IMAGE > FLATTEN)
18. Youre Done!
