SEATING
ARRANGEMENTS:
If you look below you can see that the classroom is set up for group work. The
round desks helps students work together and participate with their
classmates. There are 5 groups in the classroom, each having 5-7 children in
each group. At the end of each chapter students complete a project. They are
responsible for teaching the class a review. Each group is assigned a section in
the chapter. As they present I grade them based off of a short rubric. If they
meet all the necessary requirements the students will all receive a great review.
For Example:
Group 1: Section 2.1
Group 2: Section 2.2
Group 3: Section 2.3
Group 4: Section 2.4
Group 5: Section 2.5

Look over to the blackboard

On the black board there are a few sections:

Past Homework: When a student arrives to school after being
absent they can find their missing work here. They can come
into class, and copy it on their own. This saves time from
disruptions during class.
Reminders: Students can refer here if there is something on
the calendar
they need to be aware of. Also, day to day reminders.
Objective: This is where I write the common core standard.
Students can look here to see what will be discussed in class.
Date/Homework: The date is updated daily, and homework is
written on the board before homeroom starts. This is best
because there are no misunderstandings about the homework

The school is required to make all formulas covered in the curriculum

readily available. Here is a picture of our formulas hung up for the
students. While students take their test it is up to them to make sure they
are using the correct formula in the correct way. No additional assistance
is provided while taking a test.
