The Hurtsboro Café’s Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie

(or as close as I can get to it!)


You will need:

3 eggs, beaten

½ cup butter, softened

1 ½ cup sugar

½ tsp salt

¼ cup AP flour

1 tsp vanilla

½ cup sweet coconut, shredded

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup pecans, chopped

1 deep dish Pie Crust

Heat oven to 400; let pie crusts cook for 5-6 minutes.

Beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Mix in eggs. Add flour. Beat. Add salt
and vanilla. Beat. Add coconut. Beat. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.

Bake at 350 for about 1 hour, covering with foil after 20 minutes to prevent top of
pie from burning.

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of Cool whip.
