This was accomplished by a lot of hard work by our lobbyist Tom Coker & Associates, ABC, ABC Employees, State Employees Assoc, ALCAP, ABLA and many others. However, it was a short lived victory. On April 22 Senator Orr brought his Bill back up in committee and passed it on a voice vote. Itnow goes to the full Senate for a vote where it will be much harder to stop. Ifyou thought this Bill was not going anywhere; that it would die or get killed like it always has, you need to think again! This Bill is now on track for passage and it terminates your ease on October 1, 2016. We need your help now more than ever to stop this legislation! As of April 22, 2015 only 20 Lessors of 170 have contributed to the fund to fight this legislation. To those lessors we thank you, but if you are getting this letter you are probably not one of them. Itis not fair for a few Lessors to carry the load for everyone. It benefits every person that owns an ABC store to see this legislation killed. We need every Lessor to step up and do your part! You need to do TWO things to stop this Bill to protect your lease and your property. FIRST we need to finish paying our Lobbyist, Tom Coker & Associates.
