SPECIFICS ABOUT A LESSON THAT YOU OBSERVED/PARTICIPATED IN


SHORT DESCRIPTION OF LESSON PROCEDURE
MATERIALS They used the big writing paper with the lines and dashed lines, and the used computers.
SETTING (at desks, at tables, in the classroom, outside, in a small group, as a class,
individually, etc.)

The students worked at their desks in the classroom and then in the computer lab for the picture.
WHAT DID YOU DO? I helped the students correct their misspelled words, and I also glued their pictures on to
the students final copies.
WHAT DID THE TACHER DO? The teacher was working on independent word studies with individual students

and also explained how to use pixie while in the computer lab
WHAT DID STUDENTS DO? . One thing I noticed about the students is that they had trouble going from the

sloppy copy to the final copy even though all their misspelled words were corrected on the sloppy copy with red
pen.
GOAL OF LESSONWHAT SKILLS, ETC.WILL STUDENTS LEARN
WHAT WAS THE GOAL OF THE LESSON? The goal of the lesson was for the students to practice writing

while connecting it with making inferences in order to develop a picture from their story.
DID STUDENTS MEET THE GOAL? I believe the goal was met.
BLOOMS TAXONOMY
According to Blooms Taxonomy, what level of acquisition did students attainwhat
evidence lets you know it is this levelwhat could be added to increase their level of
acquisition (REFER TO THE CHART) can they repeat the task/skill without prompting or
further instruction? According to blooms taxonomy the student would be at the applying level. They would

be at this level because they took their story and from that created a picture to go along with it. The students could
go from the applying level to the analyzing level by their stories with the rest of the class and also explain their
pictures

RESPONSE TO INTERNSHIP OVERALL TO THIS POINT

My overall response to the internship so far is I enjoy being with first graders way more than I did third
graders. Its one of the things I look forward to every Bday. I like working with Mrs. Thrasher just as much as I did
Mrs.CW. I think the younger age group is a better fit for me personally, and I cant wait to see what the rest of the
year brings me.
