Course: EDUC 230: The Exceptional Child
Brief Description:
This PowerPoint presentation is a resource I would use to communicate with
the parents and families of my exceptional learners. The fifteen slides of this
presentation address points such as the various laws that are in place to insure
quality education for all, the definitions of terms that are often used when referring
to exceptionalities, and the steps that parents and other family members can take to
make sure their loved one(s) receive the education they are entitled to.
Rationale:
To document my understanding of Leadership and Collaboration, I have
selected to include my Parent and Family Presentation because it is a way to
communicate with learners and their families via technology with the goal of
supporting learner development and growth. After being presented this
PowerPoint, parents and families will obtain more knowledge about how to better
support their exceptional child and set expectations for their exceptional childs
growth in all areas of life.
