Professional Profile
I have had a lot of opportunities to work with young kids. I have taught swimming
lessons. I have tutored at two different elementary schools East Elementary and Red
Mountain. I have been able to start teaching through church callings, tutoring, and
swimming lessons. I have been a supervisor. First while I was working as the site
leader for Kidspace, an afterschool-tutoring program. Second while I was the head
lifeguard at the city pool supervising all of the other lifeguards and creating the
schedule. I have had the opportunity to work with a 17-year-old girl with a disability
by being a caregiver. I am patient but I also make sure things get done in a timely
manner. Over the last year I have been in practicum placements where I have
taught lessons, observed teaching, and help do whatever else the teacher asked.
When I have created lesson I used the Utah State Core Curriculum. I have been
taught how to use the technology in the schools (e.g. Chrome Books, Ipad, ELMO,
SMART board)
