The word Problem refers to the

uncertainties or difficulties encountered


in getting from one situation.
Problem solving is the process of
transforming one situation into another by
removing obstacles.

Problem can be divided broadly into two


groups.
1.Maintenance problem
2.Achievement problem

The Problem-Solving Process.


There are five main process involved:
Stage 1: Recognizing and defining a problem.
Stage 2: Analyzing the problem.
Stage 3: Developing possible solution.
Stage 4: Evaluating solutions.
Stage 5: Implementing the chosen solution.

Solving problems in a groups

Steps:
Identify the relevant information.
Gather and record the information.
Represent the information.
Define criteria of effectiveness.
Construct course of action to solve the
problem.
